Pasta Carbonara
To serve 6
Ingredients:
500g Short Cut Bacon
1 Large Cream (600ml)
100g Grated Parmesan Cheese
500g Pasta (Fettuccini preffered)
Method:
- Cut the bacon into thin strips.
- Fry bacon in large frypan until golden brown.
- Lower heat.
- Add Cream and Stir.
- Add Chesse and Stir.
- Do not boil Cream and Cheese but simmer long enough for cheese to melt.
- Leave sauce on low heat.
- Bring large saucepan of water to the boil add a dessert spoon of cooking oil.
- Add pasta to boiling water.
- Cook until al dente (done).
- Drain pasta.
- Serve then pour sauce over pasta.
I have not had the opportunity to try the dish in action... although will try to in the future.
